Taiga project management delivered the Barn Restaurant by Odin in Niseko, putting a contemporary twist on a traditional Hokkaido barn. The steel frame allows for a soaring, unfettered ceiling, giving the Barn immediate impact. Framed by floor to ceiling windows and glass doors which slide open in summer, this space is a true inside/outside experience. The main floor is a fusion French alpine bistro, while customers come upstairs to the mezzanine bar for a pre-dinner drink, or an aperitif. Contrasting the black steel frame, the blond wood panels add light and space. The Barn also provides in-house dining and private breakfast for guests of next door Kimamaya Hotel. Located in the Hirafu pension village, the Barn restaurant adds an upscale dining element to the Niseko experience.
