Principal - Managing Director

Originally from the mountains of British Columbia, Canada, Keith Rodgers first moved to Niseko in 1996. Applying a multi-disciplinary approach to property, Keith brings a wealth of experience and perspectives to projects & design, real estate & development, and accommodation. He enjoys the breadth of relationships this unique place provides, beauty in the details, and looking for solutions through inspired design. A year round Niseko resident, he is passionate about the area, and building community.  Powder turns and whitewater kayaking rejuvenate Keith. 

Tetsuya Okazaki

Tetsuya Okazaki

Architect, Lead Project Manager

Passionate about building design, Tetsuya’s imprint starts on the conceptual level and flows through to the most granular of details. Receiving the Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Utah, Tetsuya is a registered architect in the USA, lived and practiced in Pacific NW region. He worked on number of LEED certified projects and has a deep understanding of the sustainable design. In 2012, he moved to the Niseko area and started a new venture in organic farming. He also brings fresh vegetables to raise Office spirits.

Chiyono Ikeda

Senior Manager - Accommodations

Chiyono leads a team that covers accommodation management and guest services, as well as property and asset management.  She treats each property owner as a business partner, and is constantly reviewing the key performance indicators for each property, looking for opportunities to boost rental income and minimize costs. A Finance graduate from the University of Colorado, she has an abundance of international hospitality experience. Chiyono loves the outdoors, especially rambling hikes in the mountains.

Interior Coordinator

Mai is a qualified interior coordinator, primarily responsible for the end-to-end coordination of interior proposals through to installation. Valuing diverse perspectives and meticulous attention to detail, she strives to create spaces where comfort and ease of use naturally blend together.  Mai carefully discerns the clients' ideals and particular preferences, in order to realize their desired space in the optimal form, and also to enrich the user experience. Mai's interest in travel and craftsmanship continually refines her approach to spatial sensibility.

Maintenance Coordinator

Junko approaches property maintenance with enthusiasm and care. Coordinating an extensive network of trades and specialists, she takes a holistic approach to the health of the buildings, focussing on prevention as well as repairs. Recognising the challenging weather in Niseko, Junko diligently maintains each property so that they can be enjoyed for many years to come. With a background that includes guest services, Junko places the user experience front and centre in the decision making process. On Team Taiga, Junko is the undisputed leader of first tracks.

With a foundation in architectural studies and extensive experience in senior client-facing and management roles, Ryan brings a polished yet approachable style to real estate. His background helps him read situations quickly, understand priorities, and offer solution-focused guidance. He enjoys the personal side of the work, the conversations, the stories, and understanding what clients are really seeking. Outside of work he’s wrapped up in life with two very small humans, equal parts joy and chaos, sneaking in the occasional face full of powder when naps allow.

Junichi Taniguchi

Real Estate Transaction Manager | Sales

Born in Hakodate, Hokkaido, Junichi views real estate through the lens of community and long-term harmony.  He draws from 18 years in the prefectural police - seven immersed in the multicultural energy of Niseko Hirafu. Junichi's hands-on experience with laws, ordinances, and their real-world impact helps him guide clients toward decisions that feel balanced and secure. People trust his quiet reliability, straightforward insights, and genuine care for getting things right. In his downtime, he channels that same focus into the rhythm of Kendo and cooking.

Kosuke Namikata

Kosuke Namikata

Guest Services Team Leader

Employing his experience living and working overseas, Kosuke acts as bridge for guests to ensure an enjoyable holiday with Taiga. His approach to guest services is to provide thoughtful support and memorable experiences to maximize the guest's enjoyment. Kosuke gained a wealth of experience as an international tour coordinator to Sydney, Hong Kong, and Singapore. A second career in investment banking sharpened his skills in problem solving. A true blue local, Kosuke enjoys the full Niseko lifestyle, passionately golfing in summer and snowboarding in winter.

Eri Inaba

Project Manager

Eri has been working as a project manager since 2021, supervising challenging chalet projects in Niseko. With a background in textile design from Tama Art University, Eri has her own clothing brand featuring natural dye and hand-woven textiles. She extends this artistic passion for quality design in her project management work.  Previous work experience involved managing high stress, high volume businesses honed Eri’s ability to quickly plot a critical path to a desired outcome. Eri can often found carving a wave of powder snow from her snowboard.

Guest Services

An integral part of Taiga’s accommodation team, Mie Mie brings a positive and warm vibe to every interaction with our guests.  Delivering guests services in Niseko since 2020, she shares everything the area has to offer, including some hidden jewels. Whether recommending seasonal activities, the best local eateries, or assisting with seamless transits, Mie Mie strives to deliver a great visitor experience. Mie Mie is trilingual in Japanese, English, and Burmese, and loves skiing, long walks, and volunteering to help teach English and Japanese in Kutchan Town.
