About Niseko

How to get to Niseko

You can either book a taxi from the airport or rent a car and drive. TAIGA will assist you with both options, but if you're not comfortable driving in snowy conditions, we highly recommend booking an airport transfer.

How do I check in?

Check-in will take place at TAIGA office. Check-in hours are during 3:00pm - 8:00 pm.

Please designate one person for the check-in. During check-in, we ask you to fill out following documents:

1. Copy of passport: We are required by Japanese law to collect the full name and passport copy of each guest. To ensure a smooth check-in, please send us a copy of the passport in advance. In case you have an address in Japan, you are required to show us your official ID with your address in Japan.

2. Letter of proxy : Credit card information is required on this form. Additionally, please bring your credit card for visual verification by our staff at check-in(VISA, MASTER CARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS ONLY).

3. We will also go over House Rules and Accommodation usage etc.

Please note that our accommodations are privately owned by individual property owners. Therefore, as a measure to cover potential damages to the rooms, we kindly request the provision of your credit card number and a signature on an authorization form to apply for insurance. If you are unable to provide this signature, we regret that we must decline your reservation.

What is the cancellation policy?

Winter(Policies for reservations falling between December 1st, 2025 - April 24, 2026)

A non-refundable deposit of 20% per booking must be received immediately to confirm your booking. Full payment must be received at least 60 days prior(14 days prior during green season) to your scheduled date of arrival or, if your booking is made within 60 days (14 days during green season) of your scheduled date of arrival, at the time of booking.

Summer (Policies for reservations falling between April 26, 2025 - November 30, 2025)
A non-refundable deposit of 50% per booking must be received immediately to confirm your booking.full payment must be received at least 14 days prior to your scheduled date of arrival or, if your booking is made within 14 days of your scheduled date of arrival, at the time of booking.

*Please note that the cancellation policy will vary for long-term stays (more than 14 days).

Do you offer a pick up service?

Yes, we offer a free pick-up/drop-off service on the day of check-in and check-out during our office hours. This service is available at the nearest stations (Kutchan, Hirafu, Niseko) or the Welcome Centre.

Please note that availability is limited, and priority is given to guests who book in advance. For last-minute requests, we may not be able to accommodate. We can also arrange private transportation from the airport. Please contact us separately if you would like to make a reservation.

And be reminded that TAIGA DOES NOT offer any service to book taxis during your stay.

About Accommodation

Do I need a car?

Since public transportation in Niseko is limited, and to ensure a more comfortable stay, we highly recommend booking a rental during your stay.

Please also be reminded that local taxis are really difficult to book in the area.

Do you have parking lot?

Yes, we have free parking space. However, parking spaces depend on the property, so please inquire at the time of booking.

What kind of items are prepared in the accommodation?
  • Towels (Bath towel and face towel)

  • Washer and dryer(with washing detergent)
  • Hair dryer
  • Shampoo, Conditioner, Body soap
  • Wifi
  • Kitchen equipment (Please refer to the following list)

*Please note that NO tooth brush, shaver, make-up, hair comb, disposable slippers, bath robes are provided. We suggest that you bring your own.

Do you have any kitchen equipment?

Most items for daily needs are provided:

  • Refrigerator and freezer
  • Microwave and Oven
  • IH Heater
  • Kettles/Hot water pot, rice cooker, toaster, coffee maker
  • Pot and frying pan
  • Cutting board, knives, scissors, ladle, peeler, strainer, etc
  • Kitchen paper, kitchen cloth
  • Glasses (wine/champagne glasses, coffee cups, water glass etc)
  • Dishes
  • Cutlery (chopsticks, spoon, folk, knife)
  • Dish washer detergent, sponge
  • Trash bag

*Please note that wrap, aluminum foil, and seasonings are not included.

Can we choose the bedding configuration?

Yes, please let us know your preference by 14 days prior to the arrival.

Does an additional fee apply for children?

The accommodation is free of charge if the child is under 6 years old and stays in the parent’s room sleeping in their bed (no additional bed). One child is counted for two adults, and this is applicable only for king size bed or futon(1 child per 2 futons). The maximum number of people established for each property cannot be exceeded, so please inquire at the time of booking.

What baby amenities are provided?

We provide 1 to 2 high chairs at each property, though the number may vary depending on the facility. Please inquire for availability.

Baby cribs and baby tubs are available for rent at an additional charge of ¥5,500.

Can we smoke inside the property?

No smoking is allowed inside the property. If you smoke outside, please use the ashtray to properly dispose of the cigarette butts.

Is pet allowed?

No pets are allowed in TAIGA’s properties.

Is there any cleaning service during the stay?

Cleaning will be scheduled for more than 3 nights stay. The cleaning menu will vary depending on the length of your stay. Please inquire at the time of booking.

*Please note that the cleaning menu will be different for long-term stays.

Can I invite guests over to the property?

Yes, please make sure your guest’s name is registered if they plan to stay at the property.

Is it possible to ship luggage in advance?
  • If you wish to send your luggage, please make sure that the luggage arrives by the 2 days before check-in.
  • Luggage will be stored at room temperature and we do not accept food.
  • Please be sure to enter the "check-in date", "reservation name" ,"property name" and "booking number" on the delivery slip.
  • If you do not fill in the above, we may not be able to receive it.
  • We suggest you use round-trip delivery, so that shipping will smooth on your way home.
