Located on a large lot in the convenient St. Moritz neighborhood, Yukimine offers fantastic proximity to Hirafu Village combined with tranquility. The name "Yukimine" 雪峰 means "Snow Peak", reflecting this quiet, Niseko mountain setting.
Fully renovated in 2023, Yukimine has a warm feel with an abundance of natural wood finishings. As the lead designer on this renovation project, we enhanced and complimented the existing timber surfaces. The living area was expanded and opened up to create a more spacious room, as was the master bedroom area. As much as possible, recycled and repurposed existing finishes to stay within the budget, and prevent unnecessary waste.
The main floor of Yukimine features the LDK, laundry, entrance/dry room, and laundry. The bedrooms are on the top floor, with an ensuited master bedroom, guest bedroom, tatami room which can sleep 3 people, and shared bathroom and WC. We situated the master bath location to take in the views from Mt. Yotei.
A large deck on the south side of the house is ideal for summer BBQs, or for watching the kids play in the large yard, in the shade of some impressive larch trees. Yukimine has a rare 2 car garage, and space for another two cars in the driveway.
