Yuzen Niseko 240

YŪZEN 悠然

Yūzen was designed for larger groups of families and friends to get together. The desire to escape to some quiet time in Niseko's beautiful nature inspired the name Yūzen 悠然, which means "with a calm air".

When Taiga did the original design plan, we emphasized the concrete structure with the four distinctive columns. A sweeping curved roofline caps the strong structural elements, with timber fascia and louvers to add visual depth and warmth. Warm oak floors and rendered walls provide a counterpoint to the exposed cedar plank exposed concrete.

The whole top floor was planned for entertaining large groups, with a large living, dining, kitchen and media room under high ceilings. The large kitchen is the centerpiece of the room, making it a wonderful space for interacting with everyone while cooking up a feast. Serve up dinner on the custom Japanese camphor wood table, and cap off the evening while relaxing in front of the gas fireplace. Step out onto the covered terrace area for summer BBQs, or to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate in winter.

Yūzen has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, including the four person bunk room and two person helper room. The most private sleeping space is the serene tatami room on the ground floor, which sleeps three. A horigotatsu (sunken) table can also be set in the tatami room, the perfect place to drink tea or enjoy some card games. After a long day of exploring, immerse and refresh your tired body in the beautiful onsen style bath. Large enough for multiple people to soak together, you can gaze out at the tranquil birch forest.

Located in the quiet neighborhood St. Moritz in Kabayama. Please see our accommodation page to book your holiday at Yūzen.
