Who would have thought a dog-eared old staff house could ever look like this? Reborn as Yuzuki in 2015, this generous 4-bedroom chalet boasts unobstructed views of the majestic Mt. Yotei as well as the enticing peaks of Mt. Annupuri. 5 years’ worth of careful planning and discussions focused on creating an airy open feeling has given Yuzuki a completely new life of its own. The walls of the 8 poky bedrooms were taken down to construct 4 generous sized ones. An impossibly tight entrance was redesigned into a space with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with a highly functional dry room.
Taking advantage of the natural light coming in from the new energy efficient windows, the spacious open concept living/dining/kitchen space takes up the entire top floor, where 3 bedrooms used to be. The top floor deck, with a stunning view of Mt. Yotei, is perfect for summer BBQs or apré ski drinks under the sun. The interior oak and stone tile finishes create a cozy yet elegant feel. The faded green exterior has been reconstructed with rustic cedar and metal sidings giving the chalet stylish dignity.
